Yooyuball is the main and most played game in the Altador Cup. Game IDs 851, 989.
The 'ball' is actually a rolled up Petpet called a Yooyu, hence the name of the game. The Yooyu loves being the 11th player on the field, and some Yooyus train their whole lives for a chance to play the game.

Gameplay[]
Yooyuball plays as an arcade game where players can play with the use of the mouse and keyboard. Before each game of Yooyuball begins, users choose the formation they want their players to stand in and select which direction they would like to move the ball down the field. Using "mouse mode", users point at the player they want to move around, which will select the player. The selected player can be guided around the field using the mouse. When a player has possession of the ball, clicking the left mouse button throws the ball.

Keyboard Mode[]
In "keyboard mode" the player is controlled by the arrow keys. Shooting is controlled in this mode by the space bar.
Cutscenes[]
Between each goal, a cutscene is played, showing either the goal, the crowd, or - added in 2007 - the Yooyuball selection machines beneath the arena. While the cutscene is playing, game time is still used up, but this can be skipped with space bar or mouse. An animation accompanies the introduction of each Yooyu to the field, also, but this can also be skipped using the space ba or mouser.
Types of Yooyus[]
There are a variety of different Yooyus used in the game, which gives the sport an unpredictable twist, requiring a team to alter its strategy depending on the type of Yooyu currently in play.
- Normal - The most common Yooyu, it behaves like a normal ball of play with no extra effects. This Yooyu was added in the 2007 games.
- Fire - A very fast Yooyu that must be transferred very quickly between teammates, as holding it for too long could result in burns.
- Snow - Much slower than the average Yooyu, the Snow Yooyu slows down anyone holding it.
- Faerie - Travels in a slight curve left or right of the direction thrown, requiring more finesse to use it properly.
- Darigan - A misbehaving Yooyu that travels in a random direction that the player holding it is facing.
- Robot (Clockwork) - Travels in the direction thrown a slower speed, but will explode in 7-10 seconds if it isn't immediately put into a goal. This Yooyu was added in the 2007 games.
- Mutant - Behaves like a different Yooyu each time it is thrown, leading to an extremely unpredictable game.
Rank Contribution[]
A winning game of Yooyuball will earn the player 12 rank points, a draw game 4 points, and a losing game 1 point.
The player can submit up to 35 scores per day.
Trivia[]
- Yooyuball appears to be based on jai alai and lacrosse, two games where players carry a ball in a sling and charge down the field to throw the ball into the other team's net to score a goal.
- If the time is 10 seconds or under when a goal is scored, the referee will automatically call game over.
- A new rule was added on June 24, 2006, which would make the Yooyu jump from a goalie's hands if it stayed there longer than 5 seconds. It is believed this was implemented because too many users were scoring a single goal and then letting the goalie hold onto the ball for the remainder of play, scoring an automatic win.
- The Haunted Woods team won the "prize" for having the most unattractive uniform in the Y8 Yooyuball tournament. (Answer to the Daily Puzzle on the 19th day of Swimming, Y9.)
