Tuskaninny logo

The Tuskaninny ("TUSK-a-NIN-ee") is a seal-like Neopet that, despite their easy-going attitude, is willing to take to any new subject, such as fighting in the Battledome. However, as an aquatic Neopet, Tuskaninnies tend to move slower on land than in water.[1]

Tuskaninnies are 51cm on average, making them medium-sized Neopets.[2]

Tuskaninnies are not limited edition, meaning they can be created year-round.

Site description: "Aquatic by nature, Tuskaninnies can also move around on land with ease. Adorned with a magnificent tuft of fur on top of its head, a Tuskaninny actually doesn’t have tusks, despite its name. Tuskaninnies are eager learners, always ready to pick up new skills. With the proper training, Tuskaninnies serve as fierce Battledome contenders!"[3]

Previous Versions[]

The oldest iterations of the Tuskaninny were rather stocky with feeble-looking flippers. Some later revamps streamlined its form to make more sense as a swimming Neopet, as well as lengthening its flippers to pose much like a real seal would.[4]

Trivia[]

  • Despite the name, the only Tuskaninnies that bare tusks of any sort are coloured Mutant and Tyrannian.
  • The default Tuskaninny petpage weirdly refers to killing frogs (not Nimmos or Quiggles) as part of Neoschool classes (referring to a feature that was scrapped).[5]
  • The 8-Bit Tuskaninny was inspired by Neopets user ziporen's artwork.
  • The Tuskaninny was named as part of a competition, with the user wintergreen winning 1,000 Neopoints for their winning name.[6]
    • Runner-up names included Mendal, Psyla, and Walrunt.[7]
