The Shop Wizard is a JubJub in Neopia Central's Marketplace that helps users search through user-owned shops.

How to use the Shop Wizard

To use the Shop Wizard, the user can fill in all or part of the name of the item they are looking for. The Wizard is not case sensitive, so the user can type "ball", "Ball" or "BALL".

The Wizard can also do an exact search for the phrase. For example, an exact search for "ball" would bring up only items named "ball", but a search "containing my phrase" may also look for "Basketball", "Chomby and the Fungus Balls" or "Red Yarnball".

Finally, the user can set a minimum and maximum price. For example, if the minimum price is put at 10 NP, the maximum price at 100 NP, and the search text at "jelly", the Shop Wizard will search for anything that has "jelly" in the name and costs between 10-100NP (such as Strawberry Jelly for 12 NP).

By default, the Wizard searches shops, but the user can request a gallery search instead, which will simply display items, but not let users buy any of them.

Uses

There are multiple reasons to visit the Shop Wizard:

1. to find a shop that sells bargain items
2. to help set prices for the user's shop
3. to identify related items (via containing my phrase)

Restrictions

Due to "ancient magic laws", the Shop Wizard will be unable to be used if the user is on a Faerie Quest, leaving them to scour the Marketplace or Neoboards for their desired item.

Also, if the user performs at least 360 searches in a short period of time, the Wizard will ban them until the hour is up.

Super Shop Wizard

The Super Shop Wizard is an upgraded version of the original Wizard for Premium users.

Upsides

Instead of searching one section of the market at a time, the Super Shop Wizard checks the entire market, showing the lowest prices first, which can be helpful for saving Neopoints - especially if the item in question has a variable price range.

Downsides

The SSW has the same restrictions as his regular counterpart. Thankfully, the user can also use the regular Shop Wizard during an SSW ban.

However, a unique restriction to the SSW is that he cannot search for any Paint Brushes, Morphing/Transmogrification Potions, Map Pieces, or Nerkmids released prior to June 2012 (here are examples of said items that do not carry such restriction: Lutari/Nimmo/Poogle/Vandagyre Transmogrification Potions and Candy/Marble/Origami/Steampunk/Valentine Paint Brushes)

On April 1, 2012 (April Fools' Day), the Shop Wizard felt off.

When you searched an item the Shop Wizard would get dizzy and search everywhere! If you clicked on a link, it turned out to be the item you searched for.

He found the item but couldn't concentrate enough to find results.
