PokeMatch was the first sponsor game on Neopets. It advertised the movie Pokémon 2000.[1] It was first announced as "Pokémon Match" in the November 8, 2000 new features, releasing with Pika Seek.[2] It can be assumed that the game was taken down shortly after, as the new features on August 24, 2001 announce the return of the "Pokematch" game.[3] Both new features pages link to http://www.neopets.com/games/pokematch.phtml.
A game guide described it as "PokeMatch The greatest new thing from NeoPets - PokeMatch is finally here. See how quickly you can match the Pokemon characters up, two at [a] time!"[4]
