Peophins (PEE-o-fin) are Hippocampus-like Neopets that resemble a sea relative of the Uni.[1] In fact, early Neopian history depicts a land-dwelling version of the Peophin, which shared the appearance of a horse.[2] How Peophin move on land nowadays is debatable, with the most common canon depiction being to float a few inches above the ground.
Peophins are 40cm (1.31ft) on average, making them one of the smaller Neopets.[3]
When the Peophin was introduced, only 1,000 were available to the public, making it the first ever limited edition pet. Two months later, its limited status was lifted, making it creatable year-round from that point onward.

Peophins originally curled their tails in front of them like real-world seahorses, but a redraw corrected it to sprout out the back. The pet's mane has also lengthened and its jewel was properly adjusted.
