Neopets Premium (Old) was a paid membership service on Neopets that unlocked extra features.
Getting Started, and Important Info[]
How to sign up[]
The first method was to try the Sign-Up Page. However, this was not always guaranteed as Neopets did not allow users to simply sign up.
The second method was to get a premium referral from one of fellow Neopians via Neomail.
The cost, and how to pay[]
Subscribers could either pay monthly for US$7.99, or yearly for US$69.95. Paying yearly definitely saves you money! Also, during December, Neopets often run a holiday special for just $49.95. Signing up on this special compared to paying monthly could save US$45 (almost half price).
Subscribers could pay with a credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Amex or Discover) or through Paypal. If the payer was a US resident, they would also be eligible to make an electronic funds transfer.
Sign up rewards[]
After signing up, the new subscriber will get a Neomail welcoming them to Premium, as well as giving them a free 15 day trial along with a set amount of Neopoints:
- Monthly Web Pack:
- 1,000 NP for starting the 15 day trial
- 1,000 NP for every month of continued service (up to 12 months)
- Yearly Web Pack:
- 2,500 NP for starting the 15 day trial
- 7,500 NP for keeping Premium after the trial
- Monthly Dial-Up:
- 2,500 NP for starting the 15 day trial
- 1,000 NP for every month of continued service
The 15 day free trial allowed the user to see whether they thought Premium is worth it or not. They could cancel it at any time, but they will not get another free trial afterwards.
Cancelling Premium[]
- United States residents: Make a phone call to their toll free number: (877) NEOPIAN or (877) 636 7426.
- Other users: Option 1: Call the international phone number: (1) 310.321.6712 Option 2: Contact Live Support help Option 3: Send an email to techsupport@neomail.com. This option was not recommended, however, as cancelling the subscription would take much longer due to the other line's tendency to hold. The user required the following information for the call: - their Neopets username - e-mail address - phone number - credit card or Paypal Agreement Number
Other Important Stuff[]
When the user's account got frozen, their Premium membership would not be automatically cancelled and refunded. Should the user feel that they were unfairly frozen, they could use this form to try and get their account back.
Premium Features[]
Super Shop Wizard[]
The SSW searches the entire marketplace for items rather than just a section of it. This makes it much easier when searching for items or pricing your shop. It also makes it great for getting snipes.
Neomail[]
Subscribers would have access to their very own Neopets email, username@neopets.com. Neopets used this email to tell the subscriber about Premium Something Has Happened events and weekly scratchcards.
Scratchcards[]
Every Friday, subscribers would receive a Space Faerie Scratchcard in your inbox. Subscribers could win many different things, such as Neopoints, Orbulons, and Neocola Tokens (to be used in the Neocola Machine).
Premium Something Has Happened events[]
Subscribers could receive special Premium SHHs once a day via email to their Neopets email account. This would also be triggered by clicking on 'Home' in the quicklinks of their portal until receiving the e-mail.
- 1. Winning the Lottery and getting a small amount of NP (500-1000 NP) or a random item. The amount of NP received could be larger if the user ‘picked the bonus ball’ (1000-1500 NP).
- 2. You could win the Lottery and get a random item.
- 3. Finding a rare item.
- 4. Finding a Hidden Gem or cheat for a game.
Premium Referrals[]
Every time a subscriber referred someone and they sign up, that new user would go towards the subscriber's referrals, winning prizes for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th person who went on past their 15 day free trial.

Premium Neoboards[]
Old Premium members had access to three extra Neoboards (Help and Newbies, Main Hall, and Spotlights and Games). After being a Premium member for at least three months, the subscriber would gain access to a fourth Neoboard (Charter Members). Exceptions being accounts manually activated to Premium by TNT so they would have access to the Charter board right away.
Premium Collectable Cards[]
Neomail Avatar[]
The Neomail Addict avatar was previously given out when a user signed up for a 15-day Premium free trial, which is no longer available. This avatar is now given out randomly when sending/receiving a Neomail or viewing your inbox.
No Advertisements[]
Stealth Mode[]
"Stealth Mode," which keeps a user's online status private, used to be exclusive to Premium members.
