NeoQuest 3D was a secret text-based adventure game on Neopets. The title is a tongue-in-cheek joke in that fact that the game is not in 3D.

The only way of playing NeoQuest 3D was to click on the middle tapestry in Meridell Castle.

Synopsis[]

Your goal is simple: find some lost key pieces, open the treasure chest, and take what's inside. The reward is somewhere between 400 and 499, though you can earn a maximum of 1,000 Neopoints from the game.

How to Play[]

After taking any action or going to a new location, you'll new text. Sometimes, the only choice is to "press any key", giving you more information. Ultimately, you'll have to answer "Yes or No" (Y/N) or pick "North/East/South/West" (N/E/S/W). At times, there will be a roadblock marking a dead end. In case you want to stop playing, go to the Dark Forest or Rocks since those result in death. This will also automatically send your score.

The starting point of the game, there is also nothing of interest.

Dim Forest[]

A miniature maze leading to a key piece. Making a mistake will boot you back the starting point.

Water Faerie (Key)[]

Lake (Chest)[]

Once you have all pieces of the key, approach the lake and the game will finish.

Dark Forest (Death)[]

Neohome (Key)[]

Breaking and entering the Neohome will get you a piece of the key.

Field[]

The field only serves to connect to other locations.

Tree (Key)[]

Relax; the tree is not very bright, so make up a ludicrous story and it will hand you a key piece.

Path[]

Hill (Key)[]

Tip: Don't go up the hill; there will be a secret cave with a key piece.

Rocks (Death)[]

Climbing the crags will result in your character perishing.

Woodpile[]

This woodpile has a trapdoor marked on the Dungeon Map. Speaking of...

Trapdoor[]

In the starting area, there lies a bottled faerie, which acts as a light source to help let you get deeper into the dungeon.

Darkness (Death)[]

Keep the faerie with you, as not having her around results in instant death.

Crossroad[]

Pool (Death)[]

In this pool lies a giant Surzard that will eat you if you don't run in time.

Pit (Key)[]

Be brave and enter the pit to get the key. Unlike the rocks from before, you cannot die here.

Dead End[]

The dead end is here just to mess with you.
