The Magma Pool is a feature that lies deep in the heart of the Moltara Caves. It is guarded by a magma Tonu who refuses to allow anyone but those "well-versed in the ways of Moltara" to bathe their pets in the pool and turn them Magma.
The Magma Pool may be used once every 8 days.
Getting Past the Guard[]
Getting a Neopet turned Magma in this manner requires some measure of time, patience, and a bit of luck. There is an approximate 10-minute opening per day unique each account where the user will be able to sneak past the guard.
- For instance
- One person's interval might be 1:00 AM - 1:10 AM NST
- Another person's interval might be 5:06 PM - 5:16 PM NST
Once the user figures out what their own time interval is, they will then be able to come back at the same time next week to paint their Neopets again.

- Magma pets will turn Red when disowned, but remain the same when transferred.
