Lutaris (Loo-tar-ee) are playful otter-like Neopets that are excellent swimmers, spending most of their time in water. They originate from the remote island of Lutari, but ever since a big storm began to ravage it, the current residence of these pets remains a mystery. These pets were originally intended to be created from the island via Neopets Mobile, but ever since the service's failure, TNT allowed players to create Lutaris on the site.[1]

Lutaris are 57cm on average, making them medium-sized Neopets.[2]

The Lutari is limited edition, meaning it can only be created on its special pet day or obtained from a Magical Plushie, Morphing/Mysterious Swirly/Transmogrification Potion, the Limited Edition Charity Corner perk, Holiday Dream Neopet Giveaway, Species Change Premium perk, or Lab Ray.

Site description: "Little is known about the Lutaris since they live on Lutari Island, which is a mystery in itself. But to those who've encountered them, they're awesome buddies who've got energy for days when it comes to playing games, especially if water sports are involved."[3]

Being a recently discovered pet, the Lutari's design changed very little since conversion, but has since gone from a swimming position to a standing one.[4][5]
