Lupes (loop) are wolf-like Neopets who are brave and loyal to their owners and friends and enjoy adventuring to new territories.
In the past, Lupes developed a taste for Chias (which can turn into food via Magical Chia Pops), but since consuming fellow Neopians is frowned upon in modern society, many Lupes can enjoy play-fighting with Chia toys and snacking on Chia-shaped Lupe Treats.
Lupes are 60cm (1.97ft) on average, making them medium-sized Neopets.[1]
Lupes are not limited edition, meaning they can be created year-round.
Site description: "This prowling, brave explorer of a Neopet is a Lupe! Its fluffy nose keeps it hot on the scent, while its devoted demeanour is a boon to any owner or friend who values loyalty. Lupes can often be found at night intently gazing at the full moon..."[2]

Previous Versions[]
The earliest Lupes appeared rather goofy, being cross-eyed and bearing a larger version the modern Lupe's signature whiskers.
When the Lupe was first redrawn, it received more detail and expression. This design can still be seen in NeoQuest.
Another redraw in April 2004 made some tweaks to the Lupe's proportions (notably to its paws) and gave the pet a more playful pose and expressions.
