Katie is one of the characters in The Mysterious Obelisk plot. She is a child genius and inventor who is affiliated with The Seekers.
Appearance[]
Katie is an orange Kacheek girl. She has red hair tied in two pigtails, and wears glasses, a green sweater, blue trousers, and brown boots. Often she is accompanied by the giant robot she created, ironically named Tiny.
History[]
Katie is the niece of Professor Lambert, leader of the Seekers. While her home is in Moltara, she enjoys staying with him in Brightvale, and uses the excuse of dealing with his paperwork as a reason to do so. She is a talented mechanic, and created a robot named Tiny to help defend herself against bullies.
Once, not long before the Obelisk War, she had a confrontation with a group of bullies who were mocking her uncle. She defended him and came out of the fight with a battered tail. Unfortunately Tiny was recharging so she did not have the robot with her or she would have had the advantage.
Upon seeing the results of her run-in with the bullies, Lambert was considering sending Katie home to Moltara, but at that moment Tom Cotterpin entered and expressed concern that the Seekers' airship would not be ready on time to go to Tyrannia. Seeing an opportunity, Katie immediately offered her assistance as she knew "a little bit about mechanics".
She fought in the fourth wave of the Obelisk War and continues to fight for the Seekers during skirmishes.
Trivia[]
- It is unknown whether Katie is the child of a brother or sister of Lambert. If the former, her full name is likely Katie Lambert, but this has so far not been confirmed.
- In the Battledome, Katie is only referred to as the Genius Inventor.
- Though it looks like Katie is using a smartphone in her Y21 Advent Calendar appearance, an editorial clarified that the device was actually one her inventions which lets Neopets watch old Advent stories on the go.
