Gnorbu logo

The Gnorbu ("nor-boo") is a fun-loving, llama-like Neopet that enjoys shopping, telling jokes, and hanging out with friends.

Gnorbus are 42cm (1.38ft) on average, making them one of the smaller Neopets.[1]

Gnorbus are not limited edition, meaning they can be created year-round.

Site description: "Gnorbus may not be the strongest bunch, but when it comes to humour, they pack a punch that'll leave you rolling on the floor! But there’s more to a Gnorbu than just a funny personality. They genuinely care about the feelings of others and would never overstep the line for a cheap chuckle."[2]

Previous Versions[]

The Gnorbu was first revealed as Llamameeah, in a 2005 April Fools' joke, no less.[3] Nine months later, due to popular demand, it was officially released as Gnorbu, resulting in it gaining a shaggy mane, a shortened tail, bigger eyes and nostrils, and darkened spots on its coat. After Neopets' 2007 conversion update, the Gnorbu has not changed at all.[4]

Trivia[]

Gnorbu sheared baby
  • Much like real-world llamas, Gnorbus' thick coats can become heavy if left to grow for too long, so they are traditionally sheared once a year on January 6th, Gnorbu Shearing Day. Fortunately, Gnorbu hair quickly grows back to normal the following day.
