The Wocky (WOCK-ee) is a catlike Neopet that is rather bold and adventurous, often being the first to explore new territories and dare to do things that other pets would rather not do.
Wockies are 51cm, making them medium-sized Neopets.[1]
Wockies are not limited edition, meaning they can be created year-round.
Site description: "Wockies are the ultimate nomads. Their furry coat and cosy neck ruff help keep them comfy even in the harshest weather. Not to mention their super senses! Wockies can sniff out trouble miles away and hear things others normally can't. Mind your secrets!"[2]
Appearance[]
Wockies resemble Persian cats, having a fluffy tail, furry coat, and neck ruff, which protect the pet from most types of harsh weather.

Previous Versions[]
The earliest Wockies had lumpy outlines, very fuzzy manes, and thick tails akin to an Aisha's. When they were redrawn after a poll on on November 15th, 2000, they were given smoother outlines, fluffy tails, and a trickster-like expression.

On March 25th, 2004, the Wocky was re-posed to match the perspective of other pets. The pet has remained more or less the same since conversion, save for its eyes, which were changed to make it look more friendly.[3]

- The Wocky's name may come from Lewis Carroll's nonsense poem, "The Jabberwocky".
- In the early years of Neopets, the site alluded to Wockies chasing Chias. Ever since TNT made the predatory habits of Lupes clear, these references have been removed everywhere except for the oldest issues of the Neopian Times.[4]
