Hubrid Nox is an evil Chia on Neopets, and the arch-nemesis of MAGAX.
Appearance[]
He is a blue chia with slicked-back black or dark blue hair, sharp fangs, and dresses in a pink blouse, black pants, and a dramatic cape.
Personality[]
From what little is described of him, he craves power, his plans often centered around conquest. He is very prideful and arrogant, often believing he cannot fail, even if his past defeats suggests otherwise. He also can be seen mocking his arch-nemesis MAGAX in the Neopedia article focusing on said nemesis, and also mocking anyone else who dares to try and stop him. In the Faeries Ruin plot, he was greatly confused when Hanso seemed to recognize him, but saw Hanso as a lowly thief, and simply threatened to retaliate if Hanso stole anything from his castle.

This evil, nefarious, scheming Chia makes his home atop a desolate mountain in the Haunted Woods. He lives alone, as he prefers his devilish plans not to be interrupted. Whether its conquering just one city, or the whole of Neopia, whether he uses ghosts, aliens, zombies or mutants - Hubrid has an evil plan for every day of the week. Hubrid's arch enemy is the Wocky known as MAGAX: Destroyer. In fact their conflict is so famous in the world of Neopia they star in their very own game! |
Not much is known of Hybrid Nox's schemes, but it is known that Hubrid Nox at one point had enslaved Magax. However, Magax eventually turned on him and became his greatest nemesis.
He apparently had a minor role in the Champions of Meridell plot, where it is briefly mentioned that he used his magic to strengthen the Darigan forces for unknown reasons.
In the Faeries Ruin plot, Nox was framed and killed by Xandra and has a gravestone.
He has been revealed, however, to "live" on as a ghost as shown in the advent calendar Magax putting a present on his grave and his ghost hand taking it under, and all later appearances confirming he is, in fact, now a member of the undead.
2017 Games Master Challenge[]
Started November 20th of 2017, Magax and Hubrid Nox represent the two sides to choose from in the 2017 Games Master Challenge. Magax is the head of "The Living" while Hubrid Nox is the head of "The Dead"
Abilities[]
- Necromancy: Hubrid Nox's most used ability, he can raise undead slaves, usually ghosts, to serve him and do his bidding.
- Shape Shifting: Hubrid Nox can transform into a Cybunny to disguise himself. It is unknown if this is the only thing he can transform into, or if there are other forms he can take.
- Scrying: With his crystal ball, he can look at events unfolding whether they be near his castle or elsewhere. It is unknown if he can also see the future.
- Flight: Hubrid Nox can fly through the air, whether it be hovering on his own, or sitting upon a cloud.
- Increasing Strength of others: Hubrid Nox was revealed to have strengthened 's troops in the Champions of Meridell plot.
- General Spellcasting: Hubrid Nox has been known to cast a variety of spells, including healing spells, shooting fire and ice, manipulating green energy, and many more spells.
Known Servants[]
Magax once served Hubrid Nox as his servant (Magax states he was a slave rather than a servant) but eventually turned on Hubrid Nox, and began fighting against him. He was apparently Hubrid Nox's strongest warrior.

- "Hubrid" comes from "hubris" meaning "excessive pride or self-confidence" while "Nox" is Latin for "night"
