In honour of Neopets' official site opening, a variety of Birthday Celebrations are held in November. These range from item giveaways, featured NC Mall items, limited edition pet releases, and more!
Birthday Perks[]
- Use of the Birthday site theme, which increases chances of random events occurring
- The Happy Birthday! avatar being available via visiting the New Features page
- Free soup from the Soup Faerie
- Increased NP reward from the Brain Tree by 25%
- Increased chances of something positive happening at Coltzan's Shrine
- Buried Treasure being free (150NP for the rest of the month)
- Release of two commemorative birthday goodie bags: one at the Toy Shop, and one at the NC Mall
- Free training for all pets at the Swashbuckling Academy
- Increased ticket sales at the Ticket Booth
- Scores Galore allowing 5 score sends every day for five days for each classic Games Room game on the site
- And finally, a grant of 750-1,000 NC
2009[]
A week before Neopets' 10th birthday, each day, a party-goer would have three special gift boxes to choose from, which would award either Neopoints, a regular birthday item, or an exclusive 10th Birthday item. Additionally, several limited edition NC Mall items commemorating significant Neopian events were released.
Unusually, on Neopets' 10th birthday, instead of having three gift boxes to choose from, on the main birthday hub page there was just two prizes to obtain: the Celebrating Neopets 10th Birthday Background and 10th Birthday avatar. Over the course of the day, several LE pet species (with the exception of Lutaris) were unexpectedly released at varying times and intervals. For Scores Galore, game scores could be sent 10 times instead of the usual 5, which was later extended for the rest of the year. However, there were some hiccups with this, causing players to resort to entering the World Challenge to properly send their 10 scores.
After the main celebrations ended, Neopets wrapped it up with a week of daily trivia questions pertaining to various events and features on the birthday hub page.[1]
2014[]
To celebrate Neopets' 15th birthday, the following were released:
- Avatars: Beauty Contest, Lottery, and Site Spotlight
- Pet: The Vandagyre, which completed the Neopian alphabet and made the Ruki limited edition. Their release was also commemorated with plushies, morphing potions, clothing, and even an NC goodie bag!
- Pet Birthdays: From now on, users can receive one of three cupcakes by visiting one their pets on their birthday.
- Site Themes: Gadgadsbogen, Grey Day, Kiko Lake, Roo Island, and Tyrannia (all being default themes)
As well, some site-wide stuff were also updated:
- Daily Prizes: Anchor Management, Grave Danger, Forgotten Shore, Lunar Temple, and Tombola
- Fortune Cookies: Odds/usage days were increased.
- Maximum Prices: The Trading Post and Auction maximum prices were increased to 2,000,000 NP and 50,000,000 NP, respectively.
- Shops: From this point onward, old stock will clear out once per restock (which happens every 8 minutes).
The NC Mall also got in on the birthday fun with their on-site Super Sale, off-site Target NC Card sale, and last, but not least, the release of the Neopets 15th Birthday Celebration Goodie Bag.
2018[]

[3]For Neopets' 20th Birthday Celebration on 11th November 2019, an event called "Hannah and the Lost Capsules" was held until Neopets' birthday. In it, Hannah discovered an ancient scroll that gave context clues to 20 different time capsules (each representing a year in Neopets history) that were needed to restore Neopia's core. Upon finding all 20 capsules, players would be awarded with the 20 Year Celebration avatar and a Neopets 20th Birthday Time Capsule.

2024[]
To commemorate 25 years of Neopets, the following were released:
- Avatars: 25th Anniversary - Birthday Bash, Aisha - 25th Anniversary, Kacheek - 25th Anniversary, Shoyru - 25th Anniversary, and Presents from Pandora
- Colour: 25th Anniversary, which can be applied to both Neopets and Petpets; this was also released in conjunction with the 25th (Celebratory) Anniversary Pet Style.
- Daily: Wheel of Celebration, which can be spun twice per day (which, for a few days, required non-Premium members to watch an ad) for free from November 15th-30th, and give out prizes such as the aforementioned 25th Anniversary Paint Brushes, NC items, retired plot prizes, discounts on Neopets merch, and some miscellaneous retired NP items (i.e. Volumes 1-5 of Caring For Your Neopet, Crabby, Mantahatfish, Pheppacorn).
- Pet Styles: 25th (Celebratory) Anniversary and Tyrannian; to celebrate, there was also a sale on all Styling Studio Supplies.
There were also some off-site birthday activities such as:
- Birthday Bash events that took place in 40 cities around the world[4]
- A collaboration with Tsun Scoops and Yi Fang Fruit Tea[5]
