Battleground of the Obelisk

The Battleground of the Obelisk is a biweekly Battledome event that began after a fearsome earthquake rocked Tyrannia and uncovered a strange Obelisk in February 2013. Six factions went to war over it, and it all seemed to end with the Sway winning the war, but yet, the fight continues.

Every other Monday, head on over to the battleground to enlist yourself among the brave warriors. You have three days to sign up with your faction of choice. Each cycle, three random factions will be selected to participate in that week's battle. The prizes you receive differ depending on your faction.

The fighting kicks off on the Thursday following sign ups and continues for four days. Your faction leader will help you keep track of your battles during each skirmish. In order to qualify as helping your faction, you have to take part in at least 10 battles, regardless of difficulty.

Boons

If you allied yourself with the right faction, then you will be rewarded with your choice of boon to enhance the site for the duration of the week-long truce. Each faction has its own list of priorities, so not all boons are available for every faction.

Boon	Effect
Bank Bribery	Increases your interest rate at the National Neopian Bank by 3%. Available to the Seekers and the Sway*
Black Market Goods	Shows and highlights exclusive items in shop restocks that are not available to those without this boon. Available to the Sway*
Book Smarts	Your pet will receive 2-4 intelligence points instead of the standard one point when you read your pet a book. Available to the Seekers*
Cartogriphication	Your pet will be able to tell you about the correct direction through the Faerie Caverns, leading you towards guaranteed treasure! Available to the Order of the Red Erisim*
Cheaper by the Dozen	Allows you to purchase stocks selling for 10+ NP instead of the usual minimum price of 15 NP. Available to the Sway and Thieves' Guild*
Doctor Who?	Allows you to take one of your sick Neopets to the Healing Springs and have them cured and restored to full HP, in addition to whatever other action Marina takes on your Neopets: The Water Faerie says a few magical words and...[Pet Name] is fully healed!!! All of your Neopets gain seven hit points. I hope that helps! :) If you have more than one sick Neopet, one of them will be chosen at random to receive the cure and heal. If you do not have any sick Neopets, then this boon will have no effect. Available to the Order of the Red Erisim and Thieves' Guild*
Doppelgänger	Gives your pet a chance of being able to reuse one-use items in the Battledome. Available to the Brute Squad, Order of the Red Erisim and Thieves' Guild*
Double Bubble	Gives you the chance that a potion will refill itself after you use it on your Neopet. *pop pop* The potion magically refills itself to the brim. It looks like pet name is quite magically talented. Available to the Order of the Red Erisim*
Equip ALL THE THINGS	Allows you to equip one extra weapon to your pet, giving them 9 total weapons. The extra weapon will be automatically returned to your inventory once the boon expires. Available to the Brute Squad*
Five-Finger Discount	Gives you a 10% discount on items in non-user shops around Neopia. Available to the Thieves' Guild*
GRRRAAAAHHHHHH!	Increases your pet's damage output by 10% in the Battledome. Available to the Brute Squad*
LOL AVIES	Allows you to steal another user's avatar for the duration of the boon. In order to do so, click on said user's active avatar on the Neoboards or on your guild's message board. This stolen avatar will be labeled as "pilfered" and can be swapped at any time by stealing another one. Note: Even though the boon says it "steals" the avatar from a user, the user from whom you stole the avatar would still be able to have said avatar for themselves. As well, the stolen avatar would not count toward your Neoboard Avatar score. This boon does not currently work with the new layout. Available to the Thieves' Guild*
Refreshed Quest Request	Allows you to swap out any Faerie Quest you have received at any time for a random, new one. Available to the Order of the Red Erisim and the Sway*
Right Round Round Round	Allows you to spin any wheel twice before having to wait the usual time to spin again. Available to the Brute Squad and Seekers*
Scratch Master	Allows you to buy two scratchcards before having to wait the normal waiting time between purchases. Available to the Brute Squad and Thieves' Guild*
Strength of Mind	Gives your pet the ability "Mind Blast" for use in the Battledome for the duration of the boon. This ability has a one-turn cooldown and uses your pet's Intelligence points to calculate the damage done in the turn that it's used. Available to the Seekers*
That Millionaire Feeling	Allows you to offer up to 2,000,000 NP on a Trading Post lot. However, in November 2014, the usual NP offer limit was raised to 2,000,000 NP (formerly 800,000 NP), unfortunately making this boon redundant. Available to the Sway*
Full Pockets Premium only**	Allows you to win extra Neopoints from Space Faerie Scratchcards. Available to all factions
Premium Dreamium**	Allows you to send 4 scores per day (instead of 3) on the Premium Featured Game. Available to all factions

*Users who have allied with the Awakened will have a choice of five random boons instead of a predictable set of boons that the other factions have.
**Premium users will also get a choice of a second, Premium boon in addition to a boon from their winning faction.
